Information Dissemination
Help us extend our reach into the different communities we serve by spreading the word about HPIRC and our services. Please post our flyers and posters in your school newsletters, on your classroom or school office bulletin boards, at your next PTA or neighborhood board meeting. Contact us for brochures, or download flyers at (link): Or furthermore, put up an HPIRC banner or backlink on your school website. Contact Roget Alabastro for more information.
Volunteer
We believe that community members are precious resources, each bringing different life experiences and knowledge. HPIRC has volunteer opportunities year-round at each of our sites, including child care, technical asistance, translating, and large event assistance. Currently, our Kalihi location is in particular need of Chuukese and Marshallese translators.
Become a community partner
If your organization is invested in the community and the future of Hawaii's children, then we can work together. Please contact our state office or the HPIRC site nearest you to inquire about opportunities to collaborate. Together, we can achieve more!
Become a Parent Advisory Member - Join our board!
HPIRC depends on the voices of parents and community members for guidance in our work. Keep us tuned in and on track with the parenting issues that matter most to you and your family. Our advisory board meets throughout the year, and is often convened informally for consultation on current and upcoming projects. Contact Christina Simmons for more information.
Service Learning/Research opportunities
Attention students! Get school credit for working in your community! HPIRC is connected to the University of Hawaii (including community colleges) and Chaminade Univiersity Service Learning Programs.
